Langtree School works in very close partnership with The Henley College which, in a very real sense, functions as our sixth form provision. The majority of students each year opt to continue their further education at Henley selecting courses from a very wide and rich provision. In addition, students from Years 10 and 11 can opt to take vocational courses at Henley as part of their KS4 options and transport is provided to accommodate the needs of these students.
Since its creation in 1987 The Henley College has proudly remained the sixth form of choice for students from its four local partner schools, Chiltern Edge School (in Sonning Common), Gillotts School (in Henley), Icknield Community College (in Watlington) and Langtree School (in Woodcote). However, thanks to its leading reputation and the quality of its courses, the College is now home to nearly 2,000 full-time students from over 100 schools across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire.
In the autumn of year 11 all students also attend a unique taster day at the College. Exclusively for partner schools, the day provides an excellent insight into life at College.
Students at Henley benefit from excellent pastoral care including a dedicated Personal Tutor, a specialist Careers Adviser, highly experienced and supportive teaching staff and many guest speakers and events aimed at providing further information on university and career choices. The College is based on two sites in the heart of the town of Henley with excellent facilities.
